Marketing & Collaboration Policy

This Marketing Policy outlines how Rumour Edit engages in promotional activities including paid advertising, influencer collaborations, and email marketing. By participating in any of our marketing programs or campaigns, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Advertising & Brand Representation

  • Rumour Edit promotes small businesses by curating their offerings in a digital gift guide. All marketing campaigns (social media, digital ads, etc.) reflect our core values of authenticity, originality, and respect for intellectual property.
  • We do not support or promote counterfeit products, 'dupe culture', or unethical brand copycats.
  • Businesses featured in our guides may be included in paid advertising campaigns run by Rumour Edit across platforms such as Instagram, Meta, Pinterest, or email.
  • We reserve the right to edit or omit any material submitted for advertising that doesn’t align with our brand values, standards, or legal obligations.

2. Influencer Collaborations

We partner with selected creators and influencers to promote our digital guides and featured brands. All collaborations must meet the following standards:

  • Influencers must disclose sponsored content in compliance with the ACCC guidelines and AANA Code of Ethics using clear and visible tags (e.g. #ad, #sponsored, #gifted).
  • Influencers must represent Rumour Edit and featured businesses accurately and truthfully. Misleading claims or false endorsements are not permitted.
  • We reserve the right to review and approve all content before it is published, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We prioritise partnerships that are values-aligned: supporting small businesses, originality, sustainability, and community impact.

3. Email Marketing & Subscriber Consent

  • Rumour Edit complies with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We will only send marketing emails to individuals who have expressly opted in to receive them.
  • Every marketing email includes a clear unsubscribe link, allowing recipients to opt out at any time.
  • We will not share, sell, or rent your email address to third parties without your consent. Your data is handled in accordance with our [Privacy Policy].
  • Email signups may be collected via forms on our website, during promotional giveaways, or in partnership with featured brands. All subscribers must give clear, informed consent before being added to any mailing list.

4. Content Ownership and Use

  • By participating in advertising or collaborative content, you grant Rumour Edit the right to use your submitted images, descriptions, logos, and links across marketing channels, including email, social media, digital ads, and the Rumour Edit website.
  • We will always use your content respectfully and in a manner consistent with your brand guidelines where provided.

5. Breach of Policy

We reserve the right to remove, exclude, or withdraw participation from any advertising campaign, influencer agreement, or email initiative if a business or individual is found to be in breach of this policy, or if their conduct is inconsistent with our values or legal obligations.
