This magazine isn’t about cramming in as many brands as possible. It’s about giving each business the presence it deserves. That’s why we’re offering only full-page or double-page placements, nothing less.

One product image to represent your entire brand hoping for it’s chance to be seen among multiple other stores can be easily overlooked, and while we get it, investing a smaller amount feels less risky, we believe it’s wasted money because your chance of being seen is very slim. We’re not just selling space. We’re here to build a beautiful, easy-to-explore, inspiring Gift Guides that customers want to browse, where brands get discovered and shopped from.

We thoughtfully limit how many similar stores can feature in each edition. While we wholeheartedly believe there’s enough room in the market for everyone to thrive, we also believe in fair representation. Our goal is to showcase each store clearly, without overwhelming readers or creating unnecessary competition.

At the same time, choice and variety are what attract more customers to browse and keep them browsing. By balancing exclusivity with range, we create a better shopping experience for readers and more scroll-time for you.

  • Ads campaigns promoting the magazine - we will be spending approximately 25-30% of revenue on ads to grow the exposure and an email database, as well as promoting the Gift Guide when it is live.
  • Benefit from collaborative sharing and organic reach to maximise sales potential
  • Affordable option to obtain a double-page spread for maximum visual impact

What You Commit to:

When you join this collective magazine, you’re not just buying a page, you’re jumping in with a crew of like-minded small businesses. To ensure the success of the magazine (and every business inside it), we ask that all participants commit to:

  • Collaborative promotion: Share, support, and engage with other participating businesses across socials. It’s a collective effort, the more we amplify each other, the further we all go.
  • Social media exposure: Promote the Gift Guide on your primary social channel (Instagram, TikTok, or both) during launch and key promotional moments.
  • Email marketing: Send at least one email to your customer list (if you have one) letting them know about the magazine and encouraging them to check it out.
  • Discounting: Offering a discount is completely optional. But if you choose to offer one, we ask that it stays within an agreed cap (to be confirmed). This is to maintain the integrity and fairness of our collective, participating brands are asked to limit discounts featured in Rumour Edit.

 

 

We believe deeply in the power of supporting small businesses and we know many customers do too. But in tough economic times, even the most well-meaning shopper might be drawn to a discount before they see the heart behind the brand.

We understand that. But we also want to be clear: this Gift Guide isn't about giving it all away to get noticed. Running a small business is hard enough without sacrificing margins just to compete.

We're here to showcase thoughtful, quality, purposeful products and all your efforts, not to race to the bottom on price. Our aim is to help customers discover small businesses worth supporting.

By purchasing space in this Gift Guide, you agree to actively participate in any requested group sharing, cross-promotion of other brands, and engagement to help ensure the best possible results for all involved.

This is a collective effort and its success depends on everyone playing their part.
If you choose not to engage or participate in the agreed promotional efforts, you acknowledge that your page may be removed from the Gift Guide at the organiser’s discretion (without refund or compensation).
